Day 38 Florida City CG

The cold front  had arrived and the temps dropped considerably from the low 90’s to 50’s overnight with lots of rain. It was the first time since we have been in Florida that we have had to use our heat pumps.

When we got up it was 48 degrees, overcast with intermittent showers. Since neither one of us felt like traveling we decided to stay another day.

The day turned into a day of beauty. Manicures, pedicures and haircuts for all. Yes, I am the manicurist and barber. Both Ron and Jewel looked great after I was done with my job. LOL

Later in the day Ron and I took a ride around Homestead & Florida City looking for a gas station we could get in and out of without difficulty with the MH. Most were very tight but if we didn’t connect the car before we gassed up he could maneuver OK. So we picked out a couple of gas stations that would fit the bill when we exit Florida City.

It rained intermittently , in torrents, flooding the streets. I guess it was much needed rain, so good for the area. The weather projection is continued cold for the next couple of days. We have been seeing Floridians in winter jackets and the weathermen have been talking about “bitter” cold. Definitely  NOT  Northeasters. LOL
