Well, after many false starts we finally left at 10:30 am this morning. It was really tough getting in the mood to load and leave. Between the holidays, family commitments and my Mother’s passing, neither one of us was in the right frame of mind.
We finally put all the pieces together and hit the road. Our journey along the I- 95 corridor turned out to be quite pleasant and uneventful. Not even a slow-down in NYC and the GW Bridge.
The weather has been great with temps topping out at around 58-60 with bright sunshine. Yeah!!!!
We stopped along the way at least twice for brief periods but made very good time. We arrived at the Clara Barton rest area around 5 pm. After dinner I read and Ron tried out his new Sprint Hot Spot device. It worked great and my book was good – so we were both happy.
Jewel has been traveling very well. We brought her bed with us and she has been soooo happy. No tranqs this time for her.
It was off to bed at 9 pm. We were thinking we might get up early to avoid the traffic on the DC beltway. We will see what the morning brings.
